You wouldn’t think stickers would be a good toy for kids so young. After all, 2-year-olds are still developing the fine motor skills required to do things like peel stickers off a sheet and place them properly without getting them stuck to themselves.
However, these stickers aren’t sticky except to things like glass and smooth surfaces, and their larger size makes them easier for toddlers to manipulate. My young toddlers really enjoyed the task of sticking these re-usable stickers on our glass patio door one by one.
I was starting to wonder if I was remembering correctly since I haven’t found any photos of them engaged in this activity. I checked the Amazon reviews for the same book of Melissa and Doug reusable stickers, though, and there are plenty that specifically say their 2-year-old loves the sticker book.
Of course, the manufacturer recommends these for ages 3 and up because I’m sure the stickers are swallow-able and they will definitely be difficult for some two-year-olds to use. But they’re a relatively inexpensive gift that kids can grow into if they’re not ready yet at age 2, so I think they’re a good buy.
