The Best Toys for Princess Loving 2-Year-Olds

Last Updated on December 6, 2022 by admin

If the little 2-year-old in your life is in love with all things pink and sparkly, you’ve come to the right place. There are plenty of fun gift options available for toddler princess-lovers. Here’s some of my favorite ideas for princess toys for 2-year-olds.

Princess Costume

Fairy Princess Tutu Costume Set For Girls Dress up and Ballet Dance, $17

I do have mixed feelings about buying costumes for toddlers, mostly because many young toddlers won’t tolerate things like hats and masks. However, I make an exception for these kinds of sparkly tutus, which can make even 2-year-olds feel fancy and twirly.

Princess Tent

Princess tent, $27

As I wrote in my full post on play tents, you can find a play tent in pretty much any theme for kids, and princesses are no exception. The tent pictured here is an inexpensive polyester model that I’m featuring here because it’s a literal castle, but there are also lots of other options for gauzy, feminine tents with twinkle lights that any aspiring princess will love.

Princess Boots

Western Chief Rainboots, $33 and up

Rain boots make great gifts for 2-year-olds because they’re reasonably priced and kids grow out of shoes so quickly. A nice pair of rain boots is an exciting gift but also a useful one, making lots of outdoor play possible in a wider variety of weather. I thought these Frozen boots were pretty cool, but there are lots of options to choose from.

Princess Playset

Radio Flyer princess climber, $179

This isn’t exactly a castle, but it certainly has feminine flair and is a pretty reasonable price for toddlers, making it an exciting gift.

Princess Block Puzzle

Melissa and Doug Disney Princess Cube Puzzle, $14

I wrote an entire post on how much I like block puzzles for 2-year-olds, so I had to include this Disney-princess-themed block puzzle to the list of top toys for princess-loving 2-year-olds. If your 2-year-old is too young to put the puzzle together, they can simply stack the blocks at playtime.

Princess Chunky Puzzle

Asher and Olivia Wooden Puzzle 4-Pack, $19.99

Simple puzzles like this are fun for toddlers, and this one is especially cute.

Ride-On Unicorn

Ride-on “Ponycycle,” $300

Unicorns are technically distinct from princesses, but they go together like peanut butter and jelly. The unicorn shown here is technically for ages 3 and up because it’s 30 cm high, but I had a hard time passing this up as a gift idea for princess-lovers because it looks so fun and might work for taller 2-year-olds. There are other alternatives on Amazon that are less expensive or designed for smaller kids.

Princess Blocks

Disney Princess Blocks, $25

Wooden blocks are a classic toy for children, and these have a castle/princess theme.

Princess Miniature Set

Fischer Price Little People Frozen Castle Set, $33

I’ve already mentioned in my post about miniature sets that Fischer Price Little People is one of the safest miniature playsets for toddlers, because it was designed specifically for them. Fischer Price has official Disney Princess sets, including this one of the Frozen castle.

Princess Doll

2-year-olds love baby dolls and stuffies as a general rule, and there are some very cute options online that princess-loving toddlers will get excited about. Generally I try to recommend dolls that are super easy to keep clean, but these plush dolls were both so cute that I couldn’t ignore them.
